Randy Hicks Randall Steele Hicks, 55, beloved father of Brittany and Lorie Hicks, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, at his home. A lifelong resident of Blountville, he was a graduate of Sullivan Central High School where he was a member of the basketball team. He attended Hiwassee College where he received his associates degree. He retired from S&ME Inc. Randy preferred the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed the beauty of nature by camping and riding his Harley. He always had a knack for making others laugh and was a good friend to all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edley and Evelyn Hicks; and his sister, Becky (Hicks) Jones. In addition to his daughters, he is survived by the mother of his children, Marilyn Hicks, Kingsport; one sister, Judy Hopson, Bluff City; two brothers, Jerry Hicks and wife Shelby, Bristol Tennesse, and Mike Hicks, Blountville; brother-in-law, Ronnie Jones, Blountville; five nieces, Jeryn, Lauren, Andrea, Haley and Caitlyn; and one nephew, Sam. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2009, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m Sunday in the chapel of Hamlett-Dobson with Rev. Ike Brighton officiating. Music will be provided by Shane Ferrell.
