Randolph B. Robertson ABINGDON, Va. Mr. Randolph B. Robertson, age 73, passed away Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at his home. Mr. Robertson was born on Nov. 5, 1936, in West Virginia to the late Earl Lee and Queenie Justice Robertson. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was of the Baptist faith. He and his wife both taught school and treasured their time off together, playing golf and enjoying the outdoors. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Ruth Jacqualine Dotson Robertson of Abingdon; one son, Randolph Boyd Robertson Jr. and wife Sherri of Glade Spring; one daughter, Mitzie Kim Smith and fianc‚ Paul Fultz of Abingdon; two brothers, Earl Lee Robertson and wife Sandy of Columbus, Ohio, and James Robert Robertson and wife Sharon of Trinity, N.C.; five sisters, Rebecca Russell and husband Bill of Fairborn, Ohio, Rowena Mahon of Columbus, Ohio, Ida May Hall and husband Ronnie of Wildwood, Fla., Linda Miller and husband Robert, St. Croix, VI, Josephine Aurand and husband Earl of Columbus and Jackie Jakeway and husband Rob of Columbus; four grandchildren, Jessica, Jason, Zac, and Sam; two great-grandchildren, Cody and Lily; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mr. Robertson will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Matthew Stewart and Pastor David Griffin officiating. Entombment will follow the service in Serenity Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the Forest Hills Chapel from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Mr. Robertson's family would like to express a special thanks to Randolph's loving brother, Earl, and his wife Sandy.
