Raymond E. White BRISTOL, Tenn. Raymond E. White, age 81, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, in the Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1928, in Erwin, Tenn., a son of the late James W. and Phoebe Hampton White, and has lived in the Bristol area since 1953. He retired from Raytheon after 36 years, and was an U.S. Navy World War II veteran. He was a long-standing member, deacon and choir member at Holston Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, camping, rv-ing, and bowling. He was survived by his wife of 64 years, Bernice Jennings White. Also surviving: children, Ruth Marshall (Michael Marshall), James White (Arthur McDermott); grandchildren, Bryan Marshall (Heather Marshall), Hannah Smith (Michael Smith); siblings, Edna Keesee (Bernard Keesee), Helen Ennis Fincannon, Phyllis Peake (Charles Peake); several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Roy Branson and Rev. Scott Faster officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:30 to 8:30 prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Glenwood Cemetery. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. John Green and staff at 2 West Bristol Regional Medical Center for their loving care. Mrs. White, Ruthie & Jimmy,
I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. Raymond was a great man and will be missed by all who knew him. I know that his death has left a hole in your hearts, but you know that he is resting in the arms of God today and always.
