RC Houser BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. RC Houser, age 77, passed away Nov. 11, 2009, at Appalachian Christian Village in Johnson City. He was born Oct. 26, 1932, in Sullivan County to the late David and Cordie Houser, and has resided in Blountville all of his life. He was a charter member of Faith Baptist church where he taught the Wisdom Sunday School Class. Serving in the U.S. Army, he received a Bronze Star during the Korean War. He developed many businesses in Blountville helping many people and was an avid golfer. He was very devoted to his children and family and he loved the Lord. He was preceded in death by parents, David and Cordie Houser; brothers, Johnny Mac and Bill Houser. He is survived by daughters, Linda Hardin and husband Burgess, Donna English and husband Rick; sons, David Houser and wife Michelle, Tony Houser and wife Mary, all of Blountville; grandchildren, Adam Hardin, Meghan Laney and husband CPL Josh Laney, Morgan English, Jason RC Houser and wife Kristin and Jessica Houser; great- grandchild, Dezmond RC Houser; brothers, Clyde Houser and Carl Houser, both of Blountville; sisters, Susie Farris and Louise McCrary, both of Blountville; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at East Lawn Funeral Home from 4-7:30 p.m., with services to follow at 8 p.m., with Rev. Eddie Zimmerman and Rev. Jimmie Clark officiating. Graveside services will be on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at 11 a.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park, where family and friends will to gather by 10:45 a.m. at the graveside. Serving as pallbearers will be members of the Wisdom Sunday School Class. The family would like to send a special thank you to Appalachian Christian Village and wonderful staff, Karen, Phyllis, Ramona, Kim, Angela, Luke and Amy, Faith Baptist Church and all friends and family for their love and support during his illness. Memorials may be given to Faith Baptist Church, 3819 Island Road, Blountville, TN 37617. East Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park is honored to be serving the Houser family. RC helped my family when I was much younger. My dad was in between jobs at Raytheon and the Bristol-Sullivan technical college. RC helped out my dad with a bed for my little brother. He also helped during my father's battle with cancer. The Housers are dear to my family and me. MICHAEL R JOHNSON.

Tony,Linda,Donna,Dave so many words I could say about RC a man I turly loved with all my heart.He made me feel like one of his kids something that I had never had before,he always told me the only steps he had were in the house that was everything to me. He was a dear man that I will never forget and always love.I hope he knew how much he meant to me and how much I loved him.

Our Deepest Sympathy in the loss of your Father.We met Dad 10 yrs ago after going through a flood in w.v. R.C. was a joy to all of us in Monroe, N.C. at Bible Baptist Tabernacle. He came here to speak in SS and immediately wanted to give something to all of our youth. He was always so warm and friendly. Thru Jesus Christ we shall meet again.
