Rex Dunford MARION, Va. Rex Dunford, age 69, of Marathon, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at Fishermen's Hospital in Marathon. He was born April 6, 1941, in Sugar Grove, Va., to John H. and Fanny Sheets Dunford. Rex has lived in Marathon for the past 17 years, coming from Manassas, Va. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Rex is survived by his wife of 46 years, Della E. Parks Dunford of Marathon; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherri and James Slaubaugh of Manassas, and Dana and Jim Siegfried of Santa Fe, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Colleen Dunford of Manassas, and Eric and Cherie Dunford of Marathon; sister, Dorothy Stamper of Chilhowie, Va.; brothers, Sherman Dunford of Sugar Grove and Randy Dunford of Cummins, Ga.; and grandchildren, Kevin of Santa Fe, Amy and James of Manassas Park, John Henry Dunford of Marathon, and Shawn, Katie, Megan and Stephanie all of Manassas. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Pugh Cemetery in Teas, Va., with the Rev. Mike Sage officiating. Family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service and Crematory is serving the Dunford family.
