Richard Stephen "Steve" Poe SALTVILLE, Va. Richard Stephen "Steve" Poe , age 53, went to be with the Lord peacefully at his home, Thursday July 15, 2010. He was a loving husband, father, and paw. Steve was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Marion V.F.W. Post. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert Lee Smith, and best friend, Eddie Roe. He is survived by wife , Mitzi Smith Poe; two daughters, Kayla Nicole Poe and Keelyn Lee Poe; two granddaughters, Baylee and Reygan, all of Saltville; parents, Bud and Dot Poe of Chilhowie, Va.; brother, Butch Poe and wife, Leila, of Roanoke, Va.; sister, Luann Dowell and husband , Bobby, of Bristol Virginia; mother-in-law, Billie C. Smith; sisters-in-law, Delores Frye and Debbie Whitehead; brother-in law, David Smith and wife, JoElla, all of Saltville; and several nieces & nephews Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday July 18, 2010, at Henderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Barry Loupe and Tim Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Military rites will be by the Marion VFW Post.
