Carolyn & Bret, I'm sorry that I didn't know the arrangements sooner. Everything was complete before I found the information that I needed. I dearly loved your Mother and Father. They did me a great favor in helping me build my first house. Then he and Bret helped me replace the front porch for my step-mother. And the labor was so unbelievable cheap. My last memory of the was the day that I took the newspaper picture of Robert to get him to autograph it for me. Wow! What a man. Your loss is Heaven's gain. I still had in my to come and visit Robert. He ask me to drop by when I came to the Church for visitation during Martha's funeral. You all will be in my prayers.

Carolyn, Bret
Boy do I have some fond memories of my Uncle Robert from the summers that I spent with him and Aunt Martha to the picking corn and the blueberries that we picked on the hill with mamaw Lyon. To me and Bret riding on the back of Uncle Roberts truck to go feed the cows. I will surely miss my Uncle Robert to his bid overalls, to his kind words that he always would speak to everyone, always concerned about everyones well being. Carolyn, Bret your dad has given to each one of you, your two donot have any idea what gift he left you. He was a exceptional man. I will always remember him sitting for hours talking about his war times and he never left out a note. After all these years he remember every detail. We all will always miss him but he is at peace now with Aunt Martha. Rest in peace my dear Uncle I will surely miss you.
