Robert Stanley Bowers BRISTOL TN. Robert Stanley Bowers, age 58, of Bristol TN passed away on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009 at home. He was born on Sept. 27, 1951, to Bert and Jewell Barnett Bowers. He had lived in the Bristol area all of his life and was Owner of SOS Marina Shop, and was co-owner of Appalachian Marine and B&B Boat Sales. He is a member of Holston Valley Christian Church. He was a member of Whiteside Masonic Lodge, a Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Mason, and a member of Jericho Shrine. Survivors daughters, Heather Bowers, Mandy Bowers, Chrissy Murray and fianc‚ Sam Taylor; mother of his children Clennie Graham Bowers; grandchildren Dustin, Chianna, Krista, Caleb, Haley, Brittany, Elijah, and Isaac sisters, Shirley Rice and husband Allen, Bonnie Carter, Linda Miller and husband Tom; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, at Holston Valley Christian Church with Minister Gary Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Harold E. Barnett Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at Weaver Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holston Valley Christian Service, 980 Bristol Caverns Highway, Bristol TN 37620. A Masonic memorial service will follow the visitation. Online condolences may be registered at www.Weaverfuneralhome.net. Weaver Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Bowers Family
Sorry for your lose of Stanley; we sort of grew up together when we came to visit our Aunt Clara and Uncle Harold Barnett and my Aunt Jo Hicks living at 1013 Maryland Ave. We worked at the caverns as well. Although Stanley will be missed here he is Serving our Father in Heaven. Our Thoughts and Prayers are with you.

we are so sorry to hear of stanlys passing,he was a very close and dear friend to us and we will miss him greatly,stanly loved his family and his friends he was a gental and sweet man,he neaver hesatated to help anyone out if they needed it,we have truely lost a angel,may god hold your hearts close in his hands to help ease the pain and may he give you strength to endure what will come from missing him,stanly wouldent wont no grief he would wont only good memories and laughter,god bless you all jerry and sarah jones
