Just learned of your passing yesterday. Oh, how I wish I could have talked with you one more time. I guess, I will have to console my thoughts with the feeling of you playing music on "higher ground".

Hey Roger: I sure was sorry to hear about you. I didn't even know you were sick. I always considered you more like a son than a good friend. I sure will miss you, but we will be able to fellowship again. Bob called and was pretty well torn up about it. Well Roger, I know you have a much better home over there. Hazel sends her condolences also. See you again "Buddy".

High School seems so long ago. Certain people you remember, some you don't. Roger is a great guy and I'll always remember his humor and kindness. God bless his family and loved ones. God be with you all in this sad time.

Miss me, but let me go
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free

Miss me a little - but not too long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me - but let me go

For this is a journey that we must all take
And each must go alone
It's all a part of the Master's plan
A step on the road to home

When you are lonely, and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me - but let me go

Thinking of you & your family during this your time of grieving.

I only knew Roger through FaceBook even though we beat around the same part of Bristol many years ago. Our paths probably crossed without us knowing it. I was his Facebook friend and we had a lot of nice conversations together. His passing grieves me deeply as I'm sure it does many others in the Bristol area. May God bless Roger and his family and they are all certainly in my prayers during this difficult time. Just remember, God, the Redeemer, is the answer and his will is our desire. With Him, we will not falter, in life or in the hereafter.
