Roger Wayne Robinson WISE, Va. Roger Wayne Robinson, 37, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010. Roger was a 1990 graduate of John I. Burton High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in Operation Desert Storm. He was employed by Cumberland River Coal Company. His mother, Cathy Hogan, preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Jennifer Hoskins Robinson; his daughters, Hunter Robinson of the home, Haley Phelps, Wise; his father, Larry Robinson, Appalachia, VA.; his sisters, Brandy Cline and her husband David and Anne Robinson; his brother, Roy R. Robinson, all of Morristown, Tenn.; and mother-in-law, Evelyn Hoskins, Wise; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Hagy& Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton. Funeral services will be at 7o'clock Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Will Gipe officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Robinson Family Cemetery on Redwine Road in Wise. Memorial contributions may be made to the Robinson Family Trust, c/o First Bank and Trust, P.O. Box 150, Wise, VA 24293. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.hagyfawbush.com

I am very saddened to hear of Roger's passing. I always thought highly of him and am glad I had the chance to know him in high school and work with him as well. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

larry, i am heartbroken concerning roger. he was such a good looking and nice young man. i thought alot of him. i can't even imagine what you are going through. you will have to turn to the lord and pray that he will make you strong. karen and i couldn't come over tonight due to the weather. your cousin, martha robinson
