Ronald E. Meade HOOVER, ALA. Ronald E. Meade, 76, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010. He was formerly of Dante, Va. He was a gradu ate of Virginia Tech and was a professional mining engineer working in several capacities in numerous states thoughout his career. He worked for Southern Company Services as Vice President of Fuel Services in Birmingham, Ala. He was a resident of Hoover, Alabama for the past thirty-one years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Rosa Mae Meade; three brothers, Henry Meade, Otis Meade and R. C. Meade; and one sister, Virginia Marshall. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis J. Meade; one son, Mark E. Meade and wife, Dara; two grandsons, Jackson Meade and Matthew Meade; and one sister, Stella Collins. Funeral services for Ronald E. Meade will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Va., with Rev. Harry Layell officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel of Love Mausoleum, Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Va. Pallbearers will be Family and Friends. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Va.
