Roxie Havana Wallace DANTE, Va. Roxie Havana Wallace went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 2, 2010, at Russell County Medical Center, Lebanon, Va. She was born in Dickenson County, Va., daughter of the late Tivis and Julia Dishman Phillips. She was preceded in death by husband, Auta J. Wallace; two sisters, Audrey Whitaker and Jean Riner; three brothers, Arlett Phillips, Dreathus "Buster" Phillips, and Ulysses Phillips. She was a member of the Church of God in Dante and was a minister of the gospel. She worked with the Russell County Home Extension and loved working with the youth as a 4-H Club Volunteer. She was a member of the Clinch Valley Chapter O. E. S. No. 152. She is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Castle and husband, Billy of St. Paul, Va.; one son, Jack Wallace and wife, Nancy of Dante; three sisters, Juanita Holbrook of Defiance, Ohio, Loretta Salyers of Nora, Va., and Belva Hall of Massillon, Ohio; two brothers, Ardie Phillips of Nora and Lawrence Phillips of Albany, Ga.; four grandchildren, Lisa Wood, Jackie Wallace, David Castle, and Chris Castle; five great-grandchildren, Amanda Wright, Kandee Wallace, Morgan Wallace, Jacqueline Wallace, and Maleah Castle; two great- grandchildren, Timothy Dalton Taylor and Alexis McKenize Wright; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Roxie Havana Wallace will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Va., with Rev. Myers Vicars and Rev. Woody Scott officiating. Committal services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010, in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Pallbearers will be David Castle, Chris Castle, Jackie Wallace Jr., Sammy Wood, Freddie Wallace, Steve Wallace, Ardie Phillips, and Lawrence Phillips. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood. An Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010, by the Clinch Valley Chapter O.E. S. No. 152.
