Roy Lee Roknich HAYSI, Va. Roy Lee Roknich, 59, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, in Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tenn. He was born in Dante, Va. He attended Castlewood High School. He graduated from Bassett High School, Bassett, Va. He was a self employed electrician. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Roknich; maternal grandparents, Roy and Marsella Stanley Marshall; and paternal grandparents, Mirko and Mary Turner Roknich. He is survived by one son, Michael Wesley Roknich of Martinsville, Va.; and parents, Mike and Ruth Marshall Roknich of Haysi. Funeral services for Roy Lee Roknich will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Va., with the Rev. Danny Sluss and the Rev. Bill Rose officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. Pallbearers will be Gene Marshall, Bobby Marshall, Joe Dean, Jerry Shortt, Leon Marshall, and Leo Booth. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood.
