Ruby Inez Smith Clark BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. Ruby Inez Smith Clark, age 79, received her gift of eternal life and went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009. She was born Nov. 6, 1930, in Hawkins County, and lived all her life in Sullivan County. She was retired from the Sullivan County Youth Center and was a member of Hulls Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Lark and husband Monty, Connie Thompson and husband Fredrick; sisters, Marie Cain, Shirley Cox and husband Sonny; brothers, Dewey Smith and wife Phyllis, Harold Smith and wife Joyce, and Virgil Smith, all of Kingsport; sister-in-law, Eula Dougherty of Blountville and Ruby Clark of Blountville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Clark; husband, Herbert Clark; sister, Erma Ealey Spencer; mother, Margaret Goins Smith; father, Sim Smith. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, from the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-6:45 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at Tri- Cities Memory Gardens.
