Ruby Dye

Ruby Ann Dye SWORDS CREEK, Va. Mrs. Ruby Ann Dye, age 76, , passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, in an Abingdon, Va., hospital. Born April 21, 1934, in Swords Creek, she was a daughter of the late Jonah and Fonnie Breedlove Dye. A lifelong resident of the area, she attended Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Wayne Dye; three brothers, twin brother Robert Dye, Ralph Dye, and James Dye; and two sisters, Janice Whited and Linda Dye. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Russell Dye of the home; two sons, Ricky Allen Dye of the home and Stevie Lee Dye of Raven; one grandson, Joshua Stephen Dye of Raven; four sisters, Mary Sue Perkins and husband, Hurley and Shirley Dye Hubbard, all of Swords Creek, Ruth Jeanette Stinson and husband, Carles of Honaker, and Betty Robinette of Doran; one brother, Hurley Dye and wife, Darlene of Swords Creek; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Va., with Rev. Virgil Musick and Rev. David Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Va. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Friday.
