Ruby M. Mitchell NORA, Va. Ruby M. Mitchell, 96, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, at her home. She was born in Wise County, Va., daughter of the late Melvin and Hattie Ward Carico. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allard L. Mitchell. She is survived by four daughters, Daisy Mitchell of Sandy Ridge, Va., Bertie McCoy of Brushy Ridge, Va., Annette Skeens of Brushy Ridge, and Maebelle Wise of Brushy Ridge; four sons, Beecher Lee Mitchell of Brushy Ridge, Carlos Mitchell of Brushy Ridge, Lester Mitchell of Brushy Ridge, and Eddie Mitchell of Brushy Ridge; two sisters, Opal Ring of Sandy Ridge, and Lora Reece of Kingsport, Tenn.; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Ruby M. Mitchell will be conducted at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Va., with Rev. Roger McCoy and Rev. Robert Ward officiating. Interment will follow in the Mitchell Family Cemetery, Brushy Ridge. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends form 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood.
