Ruth Blevins

Ruth Mae Blevins CHILHOWIE, Va. Ruth Mae Blevins, age 59, formerly of Fayetteville, W.Va., went to be with the Lord peacefully on Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, at the Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion surrounded by her family. She was a devoted wife and mother and was loved by all who knew her. Ruth was born in Fayetteville to Anna Lee Meadows of Marion, Va., and the late Leroy Meadows Sr. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Patty Kershaw of Indiana. Survivors include: her husband, Hubert Blevins Sr., Chilhowie; one daughter and son-in-law, Paula Johnson and husband John, Chilhowie; one son and daughter-in-law, Hubert F. Blevins and wife Carla, Lewisburg, W.Va.; mother, Anna Lee Meadows, Marion; grandchildren, Ashley and Jared Johnson, Skylar and Gage Blevins; three sisters and brother-in-law, Susan Goodman and husband Randy, Marion, Martha Taylor, Marion, Carol Moore, Kentucky; one brother, Leroy Meadows Jr., Fayetteville; a special great- nephew, Preston Kiarie, Alexandria, Va. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at the Bradley's Funeral Chapel in Chilhowie with Pastor Bobby Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in Middlefork Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:30 - 2 p.m. at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
