Mr. Tarter, Sally, Jeff and family, I'm so sad to learn that Mrs. Tarter has passed. She influenced the lives of so many children as a teacher, but I will also always remember the warmth and happiness that filled your home. I have many memories of parties from the days that Sally and I were little girls through high school. Mrs. Tarter made me feel welcomed every time. Thirty years later I was so pleased that she and Mrs. Leist were with me on my wedding day. I cherish all of those memories and know that you will always be comforted by the lifetime of happiness that she created for your family. You are in my thoughts.

Mrs Tarter was so good to my children when I moved to Tazewell 30 years ago.
She would come to my house and pick my children up for school. She gave them the love and attention they needed in a new school. She was our friend in a new place. She was loved so very much.I know God smiled when he brought her to him.I could almost hear God say, "Well done my good servant".

Dear Tarter Family, Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Sally, I know words cannot express the sadness you feel at this time, but I know God will comfort you and give you peace when it doesn't seem possible. Your mom is a wonderful loving woman that raised an wonderful and loving daughter that has two children and a husband to be very proud of. I know she is smiling down upon you and I pray that God will open your eyes so you can see beyond the clouds of Heaven so you can see her in the arms of Jesus happy and at peace. The legacy she left behind will be in your heart forever. From the time I gave birth to my boys I realized the awesome power of a mothers love and that that love will live on within your heart forever, the voice will be forever present in your ears, and the touch will always be present as a warm hug. Please know I will be here to support you and your family. You are a dear friend to me and you will always have my Love and Prayers.

What a wonderful and lasting memory I will always have of a very special lady. Even though I only got to see Ms. Ruth about once a year at our family reunions she always stood out and was always so sweet. Her love for her family was easy to see and she was just so proud of her kids and grandchildren. We are praying for you all right now.
