Sandra Kay McVey BRISTOL, Tenn. Sandra Kay McVey, age 67, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, in the Wellmont Hospice House. She was born May 7, 1943, in Bristol Virginia, a daughter of the late Jay and Virgie Meade Blevins, and she lived most of her life in the Bristol area. She was a retired employee of Hills Department Store, and was a former business manager for Right Turn. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. She is survived by: her loving husband of 16 years, Denny Collier; daughters, Dena Springer, Kena Kappelman; son, Pat McVey; stepdaughter, Nicole Collier; grandchildren, Ashley Kappelman, Collin Kappelman, Kevin Hughes II, Christina Springer, Zachary Springer and Aric Springer. A funeral service for Mrs. McVey will be held 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, in the Woodlawn Baptist Church with Pastor Stephen Playl officiating. The burial will held at Sherman Cemetery in Bussey, Ark. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church, 1400 Southside Ave., Bristol, TN 37620; or the Wellmont Hospice House, 280 Steele's Road, Bristol, TN 37620. Online condolences may be registered at www.weaverfuneralhome.n. Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home.

Kay was a special person to me. We were like sister's for many years.My heart is broken. My thoughts and prays, go out to the rest of the family, which I love too. We have so many memories together.
