Shirley Ann Ferguson CHILHOWIE, Va. Shirley Ann Ferguson, 72, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at her residence. She was born in Williamson, W.Va., July 19, 1939 to the late Edward and Mae Rabara. She had retired from the Southwestern Virginia Mental Health Institute and Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory as a registered nurse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Blair Ferguson. Survivors include her husband, John Leonard of the home; a daughter, Donnia Lynn Eller and husband, Denny, of Taylorsville; four sisters, Julia Guthrie of Texas, Carol Graham of Marion, Va., Kathy Worley of Chilhowie, and Jerry Rabara of Marion; two brothers, Allen Rabara of Chilhowie, and Robert Rabara of New York; a granddaughter, Lauren Michelle Barnes of Taylorsville. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at 4 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Taylorsville. Keith Nelson will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Chilhowie. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com Bradley's Funeral Chapel is serving the family.
