Terry Diffenderfer BRISTOL, Va. Terry Diffenderfer was born in Jonesville, Va., on Thursday, July 16, 1936, and passed away Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at the Bristol Nursing Home at the age 73 years. He had been a resident of Bristol Virginia for the past 41 years. Terry retired as a cook and manager of a deli and was of the Holiness faith. He was preceded in death by by two sons, Terry Bruce Jr. and Terry Allen; and his parents, Curtis and Maggie Carroll Diffenderfer. Terry is survived by his wife, Wanda Woodard Diffenderfer of the home; one son, Greg Diffenderfer and wife Lisa of Bristol Tennessee; two daughters, Shelia Galliher and husband Daryle of Jonesville, Va., and Judy Shaffer and husband Donnie of Bristol Virginia; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Diffenderfer and wife Barbara of Jonesville and Charles Diffenderfer and wife Diane of Haywood, Va.; six sisters, Stella Boetker and husband Roland of Clearville, Pa., Helen Combs of Jonesville, Shirley Miles and husband Bill of Jonesville, Lois Patterson and husband Steve of Gaithersburg, Md., Aileen Wilder of Ewing, Va., and Arleen Arwood and husband Gary of Big Stone Gap, Va. Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m,. Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, Va., with Todd Monroe officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. Friday until the time of service. The graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, Va. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. to go to the cemetery. Condolences can be sent to the family by e-mail to [email protected] Province Funeral Home of 425 E.
