Thomas Gibbons

Thomas "Tom" Clifton Gibbons Thomas "Tom" Clifton Gibbons, 81, passed away peacefully at the Bristol Hospice House on Tuesday, Jan 5, 2010. Tom was a member of McHenry Baptist Church Livermore, Ky., but he most recently attended Landmark Mission Freewill Baptist Church in Bristol Tennessee. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Nell Gibbons; a sister, Nell Paige, St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Wayne Gibbons and Johnny Gibbons, both of Madisonville, Ky.; and his first wife, Linda Gibbons, of Beaver Dam, Ky. He is survived by his loving wife of 6½years, Anita Lois (Jones) Gibbons; one brother, Ronald Gibbons, Graham, Ky.; and three sisters, Effie Hibbs, Salem, Ky., Imojean Mercer, Paradise, Ky., and Ruby Gascoigne, Adams, Wis. Tom is also survived by seven sons and daughters, Mary Mills, Jackson, Tenn., Tommy Stepp, Cromwell, Ky., Kathy Howard, Whitesville, Ky., Tammy Johnson, Livermore, Ky., Jim Jones, Bristol Tennessee, Carolyn Parrish, Bluff City, Tenn., and Patricia Price, Gray, Tenn., along with all their family members including spouses; grandchildren; and great- grandchildren. It was Tom's desire to be cremated, and a graveside service be held at Woodswards Valley Cemetery in Livermore. No service will be held locally in the Tri-Cities, but all friends and family are invited to visit the family at the home on Anita (Jones) Gibbons.
