Thomas Wood Walden SALTVILLE, Va. A graveside service for Mr. Walden will be held on Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon with Pastor Dennis Banks officiating. Pallbearers will be Alan Barrett, Thomas Blevins, Robert Walden, Allen Walden, Kevin Chaffin, Mike Sadler, James Barrett and James Blevins. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Griffith Jr., Elvis Blevins, Wayne Barrett, Clay Barrett, Grady Barrett, Thomas Walden and Brian Walden. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. on Friday at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, and a procession to the graveside service will follow. Those wishing to express sympathy online may do so by visiting www.farrisfuneralservice.com and signing the online guestbook. Thomas Wood Walden, age 91, passed away on Monday, Nov. 23, 2009. Farris Funeral Service, 427 E. Main St., Abingdon, VA (276-623-2700), is serving the family of Thomas Wood Walden.

I am absolutely devastated over the loss of Mr Walden, he will be greatly missed by our office! I will miss seeing him at my checkout window! Please know that I am keeping your family in my prayers..and know that he was very special to all of us! God Bless!!
