Timothy Allen Shortridge ROWE, Va. Mr. Timothy Allen Shortridge, age 43, passed away Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at his home. Born October 8, 1967, in Richlands, Va., he was a son of Fontell Penley Shortridge of Rowe and the late James Hartford Shortridge. A lifelong resident of the area, he was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Grady Hess; maternal grandparents, Rufus and Victoria Penley and paternal grandparents, Stan and Frances Shortridge. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Colleen "Cookie" Shortridge; two sons, Steven Todd Keen and wife, Janie of Fletcher's Ridge, Va., and Tyler Allen Shortridge; two sisters, Joetta Street and Kathy Smith both of Honaker, Va.; one niece, Nickie Smith of Honaker; two nephews, Alex Smith and Keith Shortridge both of Honaker, Va.; mother-in-law, Loraine Hess of Oakwood, Va.; and step-grandmother, Pauline Lester of Lebanon, Va.; and a host of friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ancil Childress officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Va. Pallbearers will be Bill Meadows, Larry Meadows, Harold Street, Jamie Penley, Chester Penley, Ronnie Tiller and Ronald Tiller. David Smith will serve as honorary pallbearer. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Sunday. Online condolences may be sent to www.honakerfuneralhome.net
