We were deeply saddened to learn of Vernon's death. Our High School Reunions won't be the same without him!
We are glad we samg some Carter Family songs at our last gathering in August--songs which he had requested!

Mary Etta and family,
I am truly sorry for your loss. Being with you and Uncle Vernon brings back very fond memories for me, and I will always be grateful for the times we shared. He was a very special person and a champion at many card games. I will always cherish the times we spent together, and I am so glad my children had time to spend with him and with you at last spring's reunion. May God bless you and all your family as you take time to grieve and remember Vernon's full life and his love for life. With deepest sympathy, Jean James Marraccini (mother of Stephanie and Gary James, Jr.)
