Dear Stuart Family,

I read Mr. Stuart's obituary in the Roanoke Times. Obviously, you are related to the great general J.E.B. Stuart, whom I hold in great esteem. In fact, my middle name is Stuart, as my parents regarded him very highly. After reading the posted expessions of sympathy, I can easily discern that Mr. Stuart was a friend to all. My sympathies are extended to each of you.

Dearest Bee and Kate

I hold you in my thoughts and prayers as you suffer this significant loss. Although I did not have the pleasure of knowing your Dad I suspect I would have liked him a lot if the two of you are any indication of his values and ways. I extend my sympathy to you and your entire family at this very sad time.

Fondly,
