William Rasnake Obituary

William Edward Rasnake BRISTOL, Va. William Edward Rasnake, age 80, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at his son's home in Johnson City, Tenn. He was born Aug. 15, 1930, in Clinchfield, Va., to the late John Rasnake and Golda Ball Rasnake. He has lived in the Bristol area most of his life and was retired from Reynolds Metals. Mr. Rasnake was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marilee Trivette; and a brother, Fred Rasnake. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Gladys Eller Rasnake; son, Roger William Rasnake; brother, John Samuel Rasnake and wife Gray; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, from Glenwood Cemetery with his brother, Pastor Sam officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, at Weaver Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Franklin Chapel Church, 221 Franklin Dr., Blountville, TN, 37617; or to Amedisys Hospice, 167 Hudson St., Elizabethton, TN 37643. Online condolences may be registered at www.Weaverfuneralhome.net. Weaver Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.

Gladys and Roger,and Sam, I am sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I just found out tonight(Wednesday)or I would have been there. If I can do anything please let me know. Maybe he can keep Fred straight.
