Randal Hoyt Ringstaff POUNDING MILL, Va. Mr. Randal Hoyt Ringstaff, age 58, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012, in a Johnson City, Tenn. hospital. He was born in Richlands, Va., and was the son of Hoyt and Thelma McGaffee Ringstaff of Pounding Mill. He was a life-long resident of the Richlands area and was retired from Consol Energy. He was a Richlands High School Class of 1972 graduate and was a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He attended the Claypool Hill Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer McGaffee; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ringstaff; and his father-in-law, Kenneth Shaw. Survivors, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Cynthia Shaw Ringstaff; daughter, Emily Ringstaff Breeding; and son-in-law, Charlton of Pounding Mill; one sister, Ramona Ringstaff of Winchester, Va.; two brothers, Keith Ringstaff and wife, Kim, of Richlands, Jeffrey Ringstaff and wife, Valerie, of Abingdon, Va.; two beloved granddaughters, Kailyn Breeding and Brynn Breeding; mother-in-law, Diane Shaw of Lexington, N.C.; sister-in-law, Tammy Nunley of Roanoke, Va.; and brother-in-law, Jeff Shaw of Lexington; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends. Randy was a blessing to all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Memorial services for Randal H. Ringstaff will be conducted Monday, July 30, 2012, at 7 p.m., at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, with the Rev. Bob Smith officiating. Friends may call after 6 p.m., Monday.
