Jim was a friend of our family when I was a kid in the 70's. I remember thinking he was one very cool guy! I still have a beautiful set of bowls he made for my mom. You'll always be in my memories Jim.

Jim was a friend and a member of our family during the year he lived with us in Portland while attending art school - and beyond. He was tremendously talented and had a great sense of humor. Jim had a big heart and things he still wanted to do in life. I know he's entertaining the spirits with his always funny quips and that joyous spirit will be with me always. RIP, Sweet Baby James.

I had the great joy and privilege of caring for my brother, Jim, the last several years of his life in Oregon and was at his side when he died. Our family struggled as many families do when brain disease such as dementia slowly takes our loved one. Never once did Jim complain about his lot in life or his physical and mental disabilities. I believe he was braver than I would be had this cruel disease inhabited my body. What remained with Jim until his last breath was his tender and generous soul. It fought for its survival as dementia took his life and it won. Jim, you taught me so much. You will be with me forever.
