FAYE CARPENTER Obituary

Kennewick, Wash.

Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home

Faye Alice Carpenter, 80 of Kennewick, Washington, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Wednesday, March 23, 2011.

She was born July 15, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her family moved to Los Angeles, California when she was four years old. She attended school there and met Les Carpenter at Huntington Park High. After graduation they married and raised their two children in Downey.

Faye was a wonderful homemaker and mother. After the children were older she went to work for Downey Savings and Loan, where she stayed for 25 years in management. Later she and Les moved to Escondido. In their spare time they enjoyed traveling with their camper and boat to the mountains, where they would fish and relax in the beautiful surroundings.

In 2005, Faye and Les moved to Kennewick, Washington. They are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the Zintel Canyon Ward. She loved her ward family and appreciated the kindness they showed her.

Faye enjoyed scrapbooking, working in her flower and rose garden, having family get-togethers, playing with her great-grandchildren and shopping with her daughter.

She is survived by daughter Susan and Cannon Hill of Kennewick; son Jim and Margie Carpenter of Laguna Niguel, California; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be Friday, April 1st, 2011, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street, Kennewick. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 2nd, 11:00 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints Buntin Chapel, 829 S. Buntin Street, Kennewick.
