ROSILEA CASTO Obituary


Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home

Rosilea passed away in the hands of the Lord on March 5, 2011, after a battle with cancer.

Rosilea was born on Dec. 19, 1949, to parents James and Eula Ida Rafferty at Lady of Lourdes hospital in Pasco, Washington.

She attended school in Kennewick and graduated from Kennewick High in 1969. She met her husband-to-be in early 1970 and they were married Oct. 23, 1970, in Kennewick, Washington. They have a daughter, Laurie, born in Dec. 1973.

Rosilea liked art, clothes designing, and sewing early on in life. Later on, she liked camping and outdoors with her family. The family got into rock collecting, in which she enjoyed going out collecting and going to the rock and mineral shows. She enjoyed her Shetland Sheepdogs, Shelties, after having one while very young.

Rosilea was diagnosed with cancer in the spring of 2009 and was doing well until complications from a treatment in the summer of 2010.

Rosilea was preceded in death by her parents, James and Eula Rafferty; and her brother, James L. Rafferty. She is survived by her husband, Martin Casto; daughter, Laurie Weed and her husband John Weed; and brother, Thornton W. Rafferty.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2011, 2:00 p.m., at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street, Kennewick, with viewing Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
