James Robert Mabry, 68, of Pasco, Washington, went home to be with the Lord on April 7, 2011, at Kadlec Regional Medical Center, after a brief illness with pneumonia. James was born to Violet and William Mabry on November 20, 1942, in Talala, Oklahoma. He lived in Richland during his childhood years.

Jim graduated from Pasco High School in 1960. He entered the Navy and served five years. Then he attended CBC in Pasco, Washington. Next, he attended Abilene Christian College from 1963 to 1964. On September 27, 1965, he joined the Air Force and earned many medals and decorations, with service through 1969. In August 1969, Jim received an honorable discharge. Jim traveled to Bowling Green, Kentucky, and later graduated from Western Kentucky University with a B.S. in accounting. Jim worked at Battelle PNNL in Richland, WA, starting in May 1972 for 35 years. His job was in property management in the Accounting Department.

Jim enjoyed working in the yard, walking, bicycling and his beloved dog. He was a member of the American Legion. Jim also managed the family property.

Jim is survived by his wife, Brenda of 40 years and daughter Jeanna Michelle Mabry of Kennewick. He is also survived by his mother, Violet Mabry of Pasco; siblings, Rosalie Mabry of Pasco; Marvin (Julie) Mabry of Pasco; and Sharon Brunswick of Richland. He is also survived by many other family members.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Kadlec Regional Medical Center. He will be greatly missed by all.

Viewing will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2011, from 5 to 8:00 p.m. at Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home, in Pasco. The memorial service will be Wednesday, April 13 at 4:00 p.m. at Kennewick First Presbyterian Church, 2001 W. Kennewick Ave. Military burial will be held at a later date.
