Maria Anh Nguyen passed away peacefully on April 8, 2011, following an extended illness with family around her beside at Vibra Hospital in Portland, OR. She was born in Rach Gia, Vietnam, to Hon Nguyen and Ba Tran.
Maria Anh Nguyen immigrated to the Unties States in August 1992 with her family. She was a resident of Pasco, WA, since then until her last day.
She is survived by her husband Anh Huynh Luu of Pasco; her 90-year-old mother in Ba Tran, Vietnam; bothers, Hien Nguyen and Sang Nguyen, both of NV, and her niece, My Hoa, from CA. Maria Anh Nguyen was also survived by her sons, Hoang Luu and his wife Lien Vo and their daughter, Minh Luu, Long Luu and his wife Stephanie Luu and their two daughters and a son, Quang Luu and his wife Whitney Luu and their son and daughter, and son Dung Luu and his wife Trieu Pham and their daughter. She is also survived by her daughters, Loan Luu, Dung Luu and her husband Trung Pham and their son, Diep Luu and her husband Trung Ngo and their son, Dao Phi and her husband An Phi and their two daughters, Oanh Tran and her husband Tam Tran and their two daughters and daughter Nga Teng and her husband Le Teng and their two sons.
Private family praying services will be held at Einan's Funeral Home in Richland and at the family home in Pasco.
Viewing will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Memories at Sunset Event Center, located at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 915 By-Pass Highway in Richland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1111 Stevens Drive, with cremation to follow at Einan's Funeral Home, 915 By-Pass Highway in Richland.
