MAUREEN GENACK Obituary


Maureen Elizabeth (McGarry) Genack, 65, passed away in her home surrounded by family, January 17, 2011, in West Richland, WA. She was born February 17, 1945, in Boston, MA, to father, Bernard McGarry and mother, Francis (O'Reilly) McGarry, who passed away August of 2005.

Maureen married Charles W. Genack on November 14, 1964, in Boston, MA, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church.

She is survived by her father, Bernard McGarry of Weymouth, MA; sisters, Jean Young of Raynham, MA; Gerry and Marion McGarry of Weymouth, MA; brother Dan McGarry of Rockland, MA; sons, Mike Genack (Michelle); Paul Genack, (Cindi); daughter Jennifer Schroder (Brad) and grandchildren, Christina, Kenny, Ashley, Laura, Jacob, Nicky and one due in June. Survived also by uncle John McGarry of Weymouth, MA, and many other cousins.

Maureen was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and her friends.

Sincere thanks to the Tri-City Cancer Center and selected members of the Kadlec staff.

There will be a memorial Mass and graveside service at Einan's Funeral Home, 915 bypass highway, Richland, WA, on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maureen's memory to the Tri-Cities Cancer Center, 7350 W. Deschutes Ave., Building A, Kennewick, WA, 99336.
