On January 16, 2011, Susana Brown was called to be with the Lord where she will be reunited with her husband Primer Brown, who passed in 1970. Susana was born December 26, 1914, in Kildare, Texas, to Julius and Allie Mae Weaver. Susana met and married Primer Brown and to this union two sons were born, Norris and C.W. Brown and adopted son Jesse DeWard. Susana and her husband moved from Texas to Hanford in 1944. Susana worked as a cafeteria worker, Domestic Homemaker for several families in the Hanford Area, and after that she worked with the campfire office and then Motel 6 until she retired. She enjoyed family, fishing, gardening, cooking and traveling.
She was a member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a member of the mother board, also a member of the Mission #1, where she was a Secretary/Treasurer, member of the Tri-State Association, and choir. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Norris (Helen) Brown, C.W. (Leta) Brown and adopted son Jesse DeWard all of Richland, WA; 3 brothers Dennis (Vern), Kendrick Weaver both of Fort Worth, Texas, J.W. Weaver of Dallas, Texas; 1 sister Ruth Davis of Fort Worth, Texas; 11 grandchildren: Cynthia Hightower, Michelle(Barry) Palmore, LaQuita (Zavier) Thornton, KaTrina (Kurt) Lenkersdorfer, Felicia (Rodney) Green, Christina Ellis (Dennis Brown), all from Richland, WA, Carolyn Griggs of Las Vegas, Nevada, Cynthia Milton of Pasco, WA, Gregory (Lisa) Brown of Kennewick, WA, Lisa Deward of California; 18 greatgrandchildren: Kahisha, Hasoni, Ciara, Jonathon, Frankie, R.J., Devauna, Hailey, Christopher, Jennifer, Jerome, Kayla, Mya, Kiara, Karissa, Aldan Jalani, Kylee & Imani; 3 greatgreat grandchildren: Zamoni, Tavon & JaKarri.
She was preceded in death by her parents Julius & Allie Weaver; husband Primer Brown; sisters: Ronnie Campbell, Bernice Miles, Dessie Wallace, and Eliza Miles; brothers: L.V. Weaver, Berry Weaver, C.D. Weaver, Willie Weaver & Prince Weaver and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Sahai, Dr. Vassa, the Lower Valley Hospice Home, Tri-Cities Health and Kadlec for all they have done for our Mother. The grandchildren would like to thank their fathers for taking care of their mother for the last 3 years of her life, a 'Job well done.'
Viewing will be held at Einan's Funeral Home, 915 By-Pass Highway, Richland, WA 99352 on Friday January 28, 2011, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29th at Faith Assembly Christian Center, 1800 N. Road 72, Pasco, WA 99301. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Richland.
