ELMA BIGELOW Obituary

Einan's Funeral Home

The good Lord chose to tale our mother, grandmother; great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother Elma Bigelow (96) home on April 6, 2011, at Richland Life Care Center. She was born on March 23, 1915, to August and Augusta Anderson.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Zinsli (Bob); Shirley Bigelow and step-daughter Collette Tulip. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lisa Dalthorp (Stefan of CA, A.J. Strege of CA, Kim Kelly Scot of Spokane), Donovan Bigelow (Bonnie), Judy Parkins (Tony), Vickie Bigelow (Marc), Shannon Jones (Neva), Brenda Martens (Tom), Lloyd Zinsli (Debbie), Kerry Zinsli (Linda), Brian Zinsli (Tabitha), Jennie Davis, Steve Ritter (Dee) and Spence Ritter.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Alvin Strege, Sr., M.D. Bigelow; her son, Alvin Strege, Jr., step-son Spencer Bigelow; son-in-law Charles Bigelow; three sisters, one brother and a very special niece, Maxine Medhaug.

Elma lived in assisted living home at Richland Gardens for several years and Richland Life Care since March 2010. Our families are very grateful for the loving care she received by everyone who knew her and her feisty spirit.

She was a lifelong member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and attended regularly until her health declined and she was unable to participate. However, Pastor Meyer and Pastor Schroeder visited her often.

Services will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Richland Church, 520 Thayer, on Saturday, April 23, at 11:00 a.m.
