Gwynn Hirschi, 85, entered into rest February 28, 2011, at Coventry House Assisted Living, Othello, WA. She was born June 7, 1925, in Hurricane, Utah, to Ira and Emma (Webb) Bradshaw and graduated from Hurricane High School in 1943.
Gwynn and her life long sweetheart, Fenton David Hirschi, were married and sealed for time and all eternity in the St. George Temple on January 12, 1944. Fenton passed away September 2009. She yearned to be with him everyday they were apart.
They moved to Othello in 1958. Gwynn was an extraordinary homemaker, wife, mother, and musician. As an accomplished violinist, pianist, and singer her musical talents took many directions. She participated in the Othello Choral and Orchestra Society for 25 years. She also performed in Hawaii and the Big Bend Community Orchestra.
As those who know her can attest, she was a beautiful and elegant woman. James Garner, the actor, recognized this and selected Gwynn as a Beta Sigma Phi Sweetheart.
She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers enjoying all of her friends in this organization.
Gwynn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. Her musical talent was her forte at church. Nothing made her happier than having all of her family filling up the pews in church on Sunday.
Her husband, parents, sister (Elaine Bradshaw) and brothers (Ray and Hal Bradshaw) precede Gwynn in death. She is survived by her children Dean (Brenda) Hirschi, Shelton, WA; Lynne (Scott) Branson, Waitsburg, WA; Milo (Laura) Hirschi, Twin Falls, Idaho; and Brad (Karen) Hirschi, Hoquiam, WA; sister, Enid Noorlander, Santa Clara, UT; brother, Ira Bradshaw, Las Vegas, NV; 20 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren with two more on the way; and one great-great-grandson.
