Richard Dale Ramso, 78, of Richland, WA, passed away on April 26, 2011. He was born on April 9, 1933, in Langford, South Dakota, to Nels A. Ramso and Edith Anna Lev. When he was 3 years old, he and his family moved to Raymond, WA. Richard served in the United States Marine Corps in Korea. Then he was stationed at the Naval shipyard in Bremerton, where he met and married Evelyn L. Stafford. Richard started his own business in Commercial Refrigeration and Heating in 1968. He was the owner and operator for 24 years until he retired in 1995.
He was active in Covington-Sawyer Church of Christ in Kent, WA and he was a member of Richland Church of Christ since 2006. Richard enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing.
Richard is survived by his wife, Evelyn L. Ramso; daughter Laurie J. (David) Flodin; sons, Eric D. (Kathy) Ramso and Bryan N. Ramso of Virginia, Bill (Anne) Deatry of Kent; grandchildren, Brenda (Michael) Petry, Brooke Flodin, Bryce Flodin, Shannon Ramso and Kevin Ramso; also his sister Darlene Hoggson of Brier, WA.
The family requests no flowers, but if you wish, donations can be made to the Richland Church of Christ at 933 Thayer Dr. Richland, WA 99352.
