Sabina Irene Shrives, 86 of Kennewick, WA passed away at Life Care Center of Kennewick on September 28, 2013. She was born on March 12, 1927 in Laramie, WY to Harry and Molly Northrup.
Mom was a coal miner's daughter. Her father died in a mining accident when she was twelve years old. After losing her father, family moved to Idaho where she met her future husband Arthur Shrives.
Art and Bina moved to Richland, Washington in 1945 where Art worked at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. There they started their family: Linda, Brenda, Ray, and Wayne.
Mom was very happy in her role as wife to her husband, and mother to her children.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Giles (Ron); daughter, Brenda Peterson (Chip); son, Wayne Shrives (Nancy); Long Time Partner, Clyde Davis. Sabina was also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 1st great-great-grandson due in two weeks.
She was preceded in death by her, husband, Arthur C Shrives; son, Raymond C Shrives; mother, Molly Hayes; father, Harry Northrup and step-father, Linus Hayes.
A graveside inurnment will be held Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 10:00am at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Richland, WA.
