Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home

Sylvia Joanne Dollina, 71, formerly of Connell, passed away peacefully at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland, Washington, on Tuesday, August 11, 2009.

Sylvia grew up in Connell and graduated from Connell High School in 1956. After graduation she married Carl Dollina in 1958 and settled and raised her family in Southern California. The family moved back to the Pacific Northwest in 1991. In 2001 they moved from Hillsboro, Oregon, to West Richland, Washington.

Sylvia enjoyed sewing, quilting and spending time with her grandson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Tyra Dougherty; sister, Gail Dougherty; and daughter, Cynthia Dollina.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Dollina; son, James Dollina; daughter, Jennifer Dollina; grandson, Matthew Banks, who was the light of her life; two sisters, Jackie (Gary) DeVore of Richland and Jenilee (Chuck) Evans of Olathe, KS; brother, Kevin (Chris) Dougherty of Pasco; nephew, Greg; two nieces, Nicole and Kelly; and numerous relatives from the pioneer Dougherty family of Franklin County.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial service on Friday, August 14, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home located at 1401 S. Union in Kennewick.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 or online at www. AmericanCancerSociety. com.
