Jean passed away peacefully after a 10 year battle with Alzheimer's. She was predeceased by her husband and love of her life, Walter, in June of 2013, son Bradley in 2004, parents Con and Oliver Woodward, brothers Jack and Jim Woodward. Survived by daughters Jan (Bob) Hubbard, Joan (Gerry) Sheanh, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Jean was born and raised in Kamsack, Saskatchewan. Her young adult life was spent assisting her father in his grocery store and corresponding during the War with Walter who was Overseas. On his return, the two married and began the new chapter of their lives in Richmond, where they resided for 67 years.

A dedicated wife and mother, Jean led by example and was a perfectionist in everything she did. All of life's challenges were met with grace and enduring faith. She will be dearly missed by her family.

Many thanks to the staff at Rosewood Manor and Dr. Faulkner for their excellent care. A memorial service will be held August 31, 2013 at 11a.m. at Brighouse United Church, 8151 Bennett Road, Richmond, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jean's name to the Alzheimer Society of B.C.
