It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Norman James Pappin. Norm was born in Ottawa on February 20, 1944 and moved to Vancouver in 1955. Norm is survived by his wife Janis, his 1st wife Judy Hale, his children Hailey (Shaun), Mark (Tracy), David (Toni), Kariann (Ron) and his seven grandchildren; Riley, Caitlyn, Tyler, Emily, Dylan, Jenna and Lehani. He is also survived by his sister Venda Dunlop, his brother-in-law Ian Estabrooks (Jacky), and numerous nieces and nephews. Norm worked for Lehigh Cement for 40 years as a millwright. He was also very active with various community groups including Boy Scouts, Sea Rangers, TOOB's, Kinsmen, K40, Lions, May Day committee and the Christmas Hamper Project. Norm was a member of the Ladner Legion and was actively involved with the Delta Hospital Thrift Shop and the Shriners annual salmon bbq. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. There will be a Celebration of Life Sunday January 20th from 1-4pm at the Fisherman's Hall, 4481 Savoy Street, Ladner. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to Delta Hospital or BC Mental Health.
