Anthony Eugene Tobin COHOES - Anthony Eugene Tobin, 73, entered into eternal rest on May 20th, 2013 at his Cohoes home in the presence of his loved ones. Born on November 11, 1939 in Troy, he was the son of the late Anthony J. Tobin (Tabin) and Sophie Lewandowsky of Cohoes and the brother of the late Jane Muscatello of Cohoes. Anthony was baptized on December 3rd, 1939 at St. Michael's Parish in Cohoes and grew up on Champlain Street. He graduated from LaSalle Institute in 1957 as a first sergeant. Anthony also leaves 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren as well as his uncle Frank Lewandowsky and his favorite aunt, Helen Famulare. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Anthony's special helpers who loved and cared for him as if he were their own throughout his final years. The family would also like to thank Dr. Costello for his care and dedication and the staff at the Eddy VNA and Community Hospice for their assistance. Calling hours will be held Thursday, May 23, from 4pm to 8pm at the Marra Funeral Home Cohoes.
