Reid, Kathleen* - North Greenbush  
Kathleen ‘Kitty’ E. Reid NORTH GREENBUSH - Kathleen ‘Kitty’ E. Reid, 85, formerly of Glass Lake died Monday, May 25, 2015, at Van Rensselaer Manor after a long illness. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late William Michael Kelly and Ellen McPadden Kelly and wife of the late Dr. John H. Reid, Jr, MD. She was raised in Schenectady and resided at Glass Lake in Averill Park for many years, then Brunswick and Coburg Village in Clifton Park. She was a graduate of St. Columba’s High School in Schenectady and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Syracuse. Mrs. Reid was a Registered Nurse for her husband, Dr. John H. Reid, Jr. in Averill Park. She was a former president of the Board of Directors of the Rensselaer County Extension Service where she conducted surveys on the housing for the aging. She was also active in the Alzheimer’s Association, a Census Taker, and a member of Friends of Bill W for 42 years and a communicant of St. Henry’s Church in Averill Park. Survivors include her seven children, Mary Ellen (John) Wollner, South Lebanon, OH, John H. (Sandy) Reid, Valparaiso, IN, Dr. William M. (Kathleen) Reid, Salisbury, MD, Kathleen (William) Labbate, Lake Placid, Paul E. (Rita) Reid, Niskayuna, Robert F. Reid, Delmar and Martin T. (Caitlin) Reid, West Sand Lake; a sister, Ellen (Thomas) Spiewak, Schenectady; 10 grandchildren, Meredith, Charisse, Alanna, Myles, James, Fiona, Christine, Megan, Chad and Grace and 2 great grandsons, Silas and Amos. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 4-7 PM. Funeral service will be held Friday at 10 AM at St. Henry’s Church Averill Park where a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery Troy. Reo Sr., Robert J.* - Wynantskill  
Robert J. Reo, Sr. WYNANTSKILL - Robert J. Reo, Sr., 84, of 15 Judd Lane died Thursday, May 21, 2015, at his residence, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving children. Born in Waterford, he was the son of the late Dominick Reo and Anna Pafundi Reo and loving husband of the late Sue J. Mariano Reo. Bob resided most of his life in Troy and attended Troy High School where he was a member of the varsity football, basketball and track teams. He was also a member of the Troy High School Hall of Fame. He was the owner and operator of Reo Welding Co. in Troy for 38 years, retiring in 1992, leaving 3 sons to continue on with the business, now located in Cohoes. Bob was a longtime Communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill. He enjoyed spending his winters in Florida and summers boating on Lake George and loved being with his family. Survivors include his children, Robert J. (Carna) Reo Jr., Troy, Mary (Roddy) Valente, Loudonville, David A. (Deborah) Reo, Rensselaer, Michael E. (Mary Ellen) Reo, Wynantskill and Steven E. (Shannon) Reo, Poestenkill; his grandchildren, Chuck (Carrie), Robert III (Josie), Anthony (Jivon) and Carnata Reo, Daniella (Dave) Redgrave, Stephen Valente, Gregory, David Jr and Michael Jr (Tiffany), Reo, Tiffany (George) Pinero and Brittany and Alexander Reo; 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Raymond and Eugene Reo. The family wishes to send a special thank you to Bob’s dedicated caregivers, Lisa, Wendy, Brenda, Callie, Sharon and Ashley. Rifenburgh, Charles Henry* - Buskirk  
Charles Henry Rifenburgh BUSKIRK - Charles Henry Rifenburgh of J. Herrington Road passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. He was 77. Born in Tomhannock on April 28, 1938, son of the late Gordon and Elizabeth (Peters) Rifenburgh. Chuck served in the US Navy from 1955-1959. After his service, he worked as a truck driver for Grand Union in Waterford. He loved playing golf and enjoyed carpentry, building and hunting. Survivors include his wife, Martha (Matheson) Rifenburgh of Buskirk, his children Charles Rifenburgh, Jr. of Petersburgh, Cynthia (late Joe) Murphy of South Glens Falls, Marion Gilchrest of Bozeman, MT and Joelle Rifenburgh of Garner, NC, his stepchildren, Christine (Brad) Lindsey of Seffner, FL, Edward Wallace of Melrose and Lori (Jeffrey) Maynard of Johnsonville. Also survived by several siblings, grand and great grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call from 11:30am-1:30pm on Wednesday, May 27 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street, Schaghticoke. A memorial service will be at 1:30pm in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery. Thomas J. ‘TJ’ Reed PITTSTOWN - Thomas J. ‘TJ’ Reed, 48, of Seaver Way died Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at St. Mary’s Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Portland, ME, he was the son of Thomas M. Reed and Geraldine A. Henry Reed of Defreestville and husband for 11 years of Michelle Missenis Reed. He was raised in Defreestville and resided in Pittstown for the past 11 years and was a graduate of Columbia High School and attended Hudson Valley Community College. T.J. was employed as a machinist for Norton Company in Watervliet for the past 27 years. He was a Denver Broncos fan and enjoyed NASCAR and attending races at Lebanon Valley Speedway. Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include two brothers, John M. (Valerie) Reed, Defreestville and James D. (Jessica) Reed, Rotterdam, his mother-in-law, Janet Margaret Breen, Troy, and his niece and nephew, Kiera and Luke Reed. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 4-7 PM. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Karyl Hopp, officiating. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands.
