Dolores M. DeLong TROY – Dolores M. DeLong, 82, of Lansingburgh died peacefully on June 20, 2013 at the Samaritan Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Bennington, Vermont she was the daughter of the late Harry and Julia Haley Hunt and the devoted wife of Richard A. DeLong Sr. of Lansingburgh. Mrs. DeLong was a graduate of Mt. Anthony High School in Bennington and was retired from the print shop of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy. She was a former member of the Home Bureau of Rensselaer County. Dolores was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun and Turning Stone. Survivors in addition to her husband of 61 years include her children, Richard A. DeLong Jr. (Melody) of Cohoes, Kimberly Rehonis (John) of Lansingburgh, Thomas H. DeLong (Judith A.) of Lansingburgh and Robert DeLong (Mary) of Melrose, sister, Shirley Woodward of Bennington, brother, Charles T. Hunt of San Antonio TX, 10 grandchildren and one great grandson. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:30 am from the Frank P. McDonald & Son Funeral Home 870 Second Avenue (124th & 125th Streets) in Lansingburgh. Friends are invited and may call at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 3 to 6 pm. The internment will be in the Gerald BH Solomon National Cemetery in Schuylerville. The family would like to thank the Staff at the Eddy Village Green at Cohoes for the care and compassion shown to Dolores during her final days.
