Joseph Paul Stallmer

CLIFTON PARK - Joseph Paul Stallmer, 74, of Clifton Park, N.Y., passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours Saturday, July 20, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.
He was son of the late Helena Mary and the late John Leon Stallmer of Troy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Kathleen A. (Grogan) Stallmer, and his six devoted children: his daughters, Colleen M. Stallmer, MaryAnn (the late Douglas) Jones, Patricia M. Stallmer, Erin K. (Chad) Roberts and Meghan L. (Joseph) Weisbeck, and his son, Sean Stallmer. He is also survived by his twin brother, John Leon Jr. (Irene) Stallmer; his younger brother, Thomas William (Marlene) Stallmer; his brother-in-law, Donald (the late Betty) Bassett; his sister-in-law, Rita (David) Duncan; eight beloved grandchildren, Taylor N. Estes, Gavin and Logan Orr, Anna and Trevor Jones, Jakob and Cooper Roberts, and Kason Weisbeck; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Joe was born in Troy and graduated from Lansingburgh High School and Hudson Valley Community College.
After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he was honored to have spent 31 years working for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. After retiring, he enjoyed his time spent traveling, golfing and the simple pleasures of day-to-day life. He loved his years as a ranger at Mill Road Golf Course.
He will be remembered for his devotion to family, compassion for others and larger-than-life sense of humor. But most of all, he will be remembered for just being Joe.
Joe was a communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, at St. Edward the Confessor Church.
Interment with military honors will be at Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Edward's food pantry, a cause which Joe supported.
