Daniel Ladopoulos Obituary
Born in Albany, he is the son of the late Daniel and Nia Ladopoulos.
Daniel worked for R. Freedman and Son Inc. for a number of years before becoming owner and operator of Bleeker Restaurant. Dan will be remembered for his huge heart and sweet disposition. There is nothing Dan wouldn't do for a friend, and he always went out of his way to help others. He was also a lover of animals, especially his three dogs Junior, Ruby, and Fury.
Daniel is survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Daniel's name to The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave. Menands NY, 12204
Funeral services for Daniel will be Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Newcomer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road. Calling hours will precede the service from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Haven't seen Dan in quite awhile but will always remember the friendship we shared and quality times we spent together. I don't think Dan could ever have known just how loved he was, by so many, or the enormous impact his passing would have on so many people. I think about him several times every day and I am grateful that he was a part of my life. He was a very special person who is now in a very special place. My condolences to his entire family.

To my God Brother,
I can't believe you're gone. I am in disbelief! I will always remember our Easter dinner's at your house after church with our Nouna and cousins. Only "crazy Greeks" would be seen with our lit candles walking over to your mom's house at 1 in the morning! Aunt Nia was the only person who had the stamina to keep that tradition going :) I miss her! Both gone too soon! Seeing you at church even if for a moment made me smile...hugs and kind words always. I will forever wish we had more time together over the years. You will be missed!

Baby Danny - Harry, Marilyn, Cheryl, Michelle, Darlene and I are very heartbroken that you are no longer with us. Words can't describe the pain we feel after this tragedy. I woke up this morning hoping this was a bad dream but soon realized that today is the day we have to say goodbye to you my cousin. We love you so much.

I can't tell you how broken hearted Steve is over your death, Dan. Having spoken to you just two hours before the fire was reported. I've never seen him so distraught. Went down there to find you at 5 in the morning praying in the car that it wasn't you. He came back home a broken man after learning the truth from Emma. The impact you have had on him and the loss he is feeling is enormous! You left a giant hole in his world and that of our son. They both love you so much! Give Fury and Junior and Ruby a big hug from Alex. And know that you had us all at "hello"! It's going to be really hard to say goodbye! ?

Danny boy, Danny The Dog, Dan, Danny, Daniel. Whatever you called him, he would refer to you simply as "my friend". His friendly demeanor was contagious and no matter what problems he faced, he often took the time to say hello and ask "how are you?" He will be remembered by most as the former owner of Bleeker Cafe but we will remember him simply as "our friend". Peace out, Danny boy! We love and miss you!

Danny, I can't believe you are gone. I was so proud of you. You tried so hard to get through the tough times in your life. We both had some tough times through the years when are fathers passed, but we were so close before and became even closer over the last couple of years. You were truly a brother to me.
So many found memories with you. Growing up together, sunday dinners @ Uncle petes, riding dirt bikes behind the church, too many memories to list growing up in the Bleecker. I met my wife with you when you dragged me to a party I didn't want to got to. You would do any thing for any one. Your smile was contagious. And your heart was enormous.
