NORTH GREENBUSH - Carl Reidenbach, age 87, beloved husband of more than 62 years of the late Alice Mazza Reidenbach, died on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home in East Greenbush. Born in the Troy, Carl was the son of the late William and Rosina Fritz Reidenbach. He was educated in Troy schools and was a graduate of Troy High School and Hudson Valley Community College. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp having served in the Korean War. Mr. Reidenbach was employed for 42 years by Niagara Mohawk in Albany as a structural engineer, retiring in 1990. He resided in North Greenbush for more than 63 years. Mr. Reidenbach was a lifetime communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Church in North Greenbush, a member of Troy Lodge of Elks No.141, an avid golfer and a member of the Elks Golf League. The family would like to thank the staff of Evergreen Commons and especially the staff of 2 Schodack for the kind care they gave Carl. Survivors include her children, Carla (Lloyd) Reidenbach Wevang of Troy and Michael (Tracy) Reidenbach of Alpharetta, Ga., his grandchildren, Paul Mohl of Alpharetta, Ga. and Rachael Wevang of Troy and his brother in law, Monsignor Louis J. Mazza of Riverdale, The Bronx. He was predeceased by two brothers, John and Richard Reidenbach. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be from the Thomas S. Connolly Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview Rd., Wynantskill on Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. and at 9:30 a.m. from St. Michael the Archangel Church, 175 Williams Rd., North Greenbush where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by his brother in law, Monsignor Mazza. Burial will follow in Bloomingrove Cemetery, North Greenbush.
