Henry N. Zullo TROY - Henry N. Zullo, 91, of Troy passed into eternal rest on Tuesday evening at Eddy Heritage House Nursing Center surrounded by his loving family .Henry was born in Danby Vermont on January 12 th 1922 and was the son of the late Benjamin and Mary Zullo .He was the loving husband of Lena Marro Zullo of Troy for 65 years . After being educated in the Troy School System ,Henry joined the CCC in 1937 serving in Cherry Plains NY .He worked on the spillway and the dam ,which was a flood control project ,until being discharged in 1939. When US entered World War II on December 7, 1941 Henry enlisted in The US Marine Corps on April 15, 1942 .,Henry served in the Pacific Theater with the 3rd and 6th divisions . He was honorably discharged on November 16 th 1945..Henry had been employed by General Electric in Schenectady for 12 years as a tractor trailer driver . He later worked as a pipefitter with Local # 7 retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Troy Senior Center since 1982 and a member of the Wynantskill Fire Department ,as a fire fighter and a scuba diving instructor. .When he was not fixing things ,for his 3 daughters and his grand children ,he enjoyed fishing , playing pool at the Senior Center and working in his garden. In addition to his loving wife Lena , Henry is also survived by his daughters , Mary ( Lewis ) Tricarick, Nancy ( Charles ) Quinn and Victoria ( Angelo ) Marchetti. He is also survived by his brother John ( Theresa ) Zullo and was pre- deceased by his brother Ralph Zullo who passed away on December 30 1994 . He was the very proud grand father to Lewis Tricarick ,Anthony Tricarick , Victoria Garner, Jessica Ordon , Rebecca Britten ,Ryan Quinn ,Jaret and Julia Marchetti . He is also survived by his great –grandchildren Andrew and Kaileigh Tricarick, ,Calvin Ordon and Baby Lena Ordon soon to arrive ,Maxwell and Drew Britten and Nicholas Garner . The funeral service for Henry will be held on Monday morning at 8:45 AM at The Bocketti Funeral Home 336 Third Street Troy and at 9:30 am at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill ,where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Anthony Ligato ,pastor. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home Sunday from 3- 6PM. Interment with military honors will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery Troy.
