In addition to Bowling Morris' passions included golf, he was the 1950 club champion at Shaker Ridge Country Club; horse racing, where he was regularly seen at the Albany OTB tele-theater or at Saratoga in hiss lawn chair by the paddock with his handicapping papers and colored markers. Morris was also an avid bridge player and reached the prestigious level of Silver Life Master. He played in games spanning the entire Capital District as well as local and regional tournaments. He is survived by his two children, Deborah Priester (Robert Wolbert) of Valley Falls and Janice Cramer of Longmont, CO, a brother Oscar (Joan) Cramer of Boyntown Beach, FL and a sister-in-law Beverly Cramer (Samuel Cramer) of Menands. I knew Morris at Cohoes High School. At that time he was a beginner bowler and was unsuccessful in making the school varsity bowling team which was coached by Tip Heslin. Morris would come to the varsity bowling team matches and we would help him with his bowling. And he practices and he practiced... How times changed. After WWII when I visited Cohoes I would visit with him at the bowling alley and reminisce about his high school bowling days. RIP

I knew Morris for a short while years ago. Matter a fact, I did some work for him. Summing Morris up would take quite a bit of time. So I will only say he was a gentleman. Someone I will always remember. If only we could turn back time. My heart goes out to his family.
